John LeCompt

John LeCompt is an American musician and guitarist, best known for his work in the gothic metal genre. Born on March 21, 1974, in Little Rock, Arkansas, he gained prominence as a guitarist for the band Evanescence, contributing to their early sound and success. He played on their acclaimed debut album, *Fallen* (2003), which featured hits like "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal." LeCompt's guitar work and songwriting contributed to the band's dark, atmospheric sound that melded rock with classical and electronic elements. After his tenure with Evanescence, which ended in 2007, LeCompt formed the band *We Are the Fallen* with former Evanescence members.
